Strong communities demand investment and engagement – and the nonprofit organizations that empower those investments of time, energy, and creativity deserve much of the same. As a committed partner in building strong communities, Schwadesign partnered with Billings Forge Community Works to unify the design and branding of their work in Hartford's historic Frog Hollow neighborhood. Now, the community comes together to participate in a range of programs and events, all under the common banner of a clear look and feel.
We began by conducting extensive interviews and strategy workshops to properly scope the organizational change. Based on that collaboration, Schwa visually and verbally clarified the Billings Forge programs – including support of the homeless, arts classes, transitional housing, farmers’ market, restaurant, soup kitchen, job training, and job placement. From there, we extended the new brand to web, print, and signage in a comprehensive framework and longterm governance plan. Our rollout included training the staff on the new website and new CMS – because just like our client, we appreciate sustainable investments.
