McKenzie Burrus-Granger
Minister of Cognition

McKenzie Burrus-Granger, Minister of Cognition, finds inspiration in the everyday. Being open to new angles, opinions, and methods informs her process of gathering knowledge and understanding. McKenzie earned her BFA in Photography at Pacific Northwest College of Art in 2000. She lived in Portland, Oregon, for several years after school, working for photographers and exploring her own studio practice. Since relocating to Providence in 2003, McKenzie has mentored area teens at New Urban Arts, assisted various artists and photographers, and pursued her own photography. McKenzie and her husband Joel live in a converted mill building surrounded by friends, fellow artists, and many plants.
