Asya Palatova

Asya Palatova, Minister of Transformation, has worked with clients such as Metropolis, InStyle, Martha Stewart Living, Town & Country, Penguin Books, The Monacelli Press, Random House, and Stewart Tibori & Chang, just to name a few. Originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, Asya immigrated to the United States in 1980. After studying graphic design at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning, she moved to New York to work with Pentagram. At Pentagram, Asya created identity design, environmental graphic design, and editorial design solutions for clients such as The Council of Fashion Designers of America, American Ballet Theatre, and Peter Joseph Gallery. After a brief stint in London, she was hired as an Associate Art Director at Martha Stewart Living magazine, where she produced stories and art-directed photo shoots. She now art directs Body & Soul magazine, a Martha Stewart publication, as well as continuing to practice both graphic design and ceramics out of her studio in Pawtucket, RI.
